The Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology (CSTT) was setup in 1961 with a goal to evolve scientific and technical terminology in all languages of Bharat so that content for higher education could be created in native languages. The CSTT has compiled more than 350 dictionaries with a total of more than 3 million cumulative head-word count from the scientific and technical domains in 22 scheduled languages of India. Most of these glossaries have been published as printed glossaries in book form. More than 255 of these are available in downloadable pdf at CSTT main website. Many of these are available for sale at our Sale Section. However, the difficulty in accessing print versions and unavailability of convenient search facility in the pdf created problems for the content creators across Indian languages. Therefore the current website was developed as a search engine in Java platform to enable all the stakeholders to access CSTT glossaries in diverse search modes and also be able to provide feedback therein.
